Welcome to Geek Turned Chic, my personal fashion blog inspired by leaving my 12 year career in technology to pursue my true love–fashion! My mission is to inspire other women to dress like their TRUE self and take a leap of faith in some aspect of their life that they have been yearning for months, years or even decades.
The truth of the matter is that I spent so many years trying to be (and dress!) like someone I wasn’t, that I completely lost who I was. This past January I lost my boyfriend–who was also my best friend–to cancer in less than four weeks. After he passed away I couldn’t leave the house for weeks, and that’s where the idea for Geek Turned Chic blossomed. As heartbreaking as this loss is, I am viewing it as a gift to rediscover myself, my purpose and my personal style.
