Who Said A One-Piece Isn’t Sexy?

As usual, Beyoncé made jaws drop during her opening performance of “Freedom” at the BET Awards this week while wearing a custom Julien Macdonald bodysuit complete with fringed sleeves. Beyoncé is no stranger to wearing impeccably designed bodysuits by Balmain, Roberto Cavalli and Versace–just to name a few. Add Beyoncé splashing around in a pool on stage, and I couldn’t help but think about how much I LOVE one-piece swimsuits!

To be totally honest, I’ve never truly felt comfortable in a two-piece. They are just not my thing, and why wear something you’re uncomfortable in anyway? There are plenty of one-piece bathing suits that are equally (or even more sexy!) than a two-piece. Just look at Serena Williams on the cover of Glamour magazine and Ashley Graham in one of her own thoughtfully designed swimsuits. The proof is in the pudding… or shall I say swimsuit!

Lesson Learned: More is truly MORE!

Get Inspired: “I always feel that if you’re gonna be uncomfortable and unhappy in something, just because you think it’s in or it’s chic, I would advise you to be happy rather than well-dressed. It’s better to be happy.” – Iris Apfel
