Spring Into Summer!
I’m going to interrupt this week’s Fashion Friday with a much needed J To Z Style News Public Service Announcement! With summer officially in full swing as of June 20th, I wanted to take a moment to say that I know the majority of women have anxiety about summer. Summer = less clothing and more opportunity to expose our “imperfections.”
First things first–treat yourself to a pedicure then get yourself outside. Take a few breaths of fresh air and remember what it was like to be a child during summer break (I know this was awhile ago, but you can do this!) Go back to the feeling of being carefree, running around in your swimsuit without worrying about what you look like in it, and having F-U-N!
SO WHAT if you can’t wear that skimpy bikini you used to (or have always) wanted to wear. If you think about it, putting your life (and summer) on hold until you lose those “extra” 10 pounds we are always trying to lose is ridiculous and quite frankly a waste of time and energy. You’re better off buying a pair of sparkly summer sandals to show off those pretty toes along with a gorgeous caftan (you’ll forget you’re even wearing a swimsuit!)
Lesson Learned: Fashion and style are a MINDSET.
