Purple Power In Honor of Prince

It’s my favorite day of the week – Fashion Friday (and my first official edition of J To Z Style News!) The music world lost a beautiful and talented soul last week, and I couldn’t help but reflect upon Prince’s iconic looks throughout the years. What did Prince teach us through his fashion? Prince taught us that fringe is a major factor, animal print is ALWAYS in, and all that glitters is in fact gold! How are you going to pay tribute to Prince in YOUR wardrobe?

 

 

P.S. With the Met Gala quickly approaching on May 2nd, I had to look back at my all time favorite purple gowns on the red carpet at the Met Gala! Selena Gomez kept it sleek and sophisticated in Diane Von Furstenberg and showstopper earrings by Lorraine Schwartz, Zhao Wei took the plunge in Michael Kors and a stunning diamond butterfly brooch from Tiffany & Co., and Joan Smalls took lace to the edge with none other than Roberto Cavalli and a shiny black choker. Can you say girl power AND purple power?
